The first phase of the AEROTHAI project for establishment of a new ATM Center has ended 12 months after project kick-off. Fourteen different work packages were finalized by the SWEDAVIA led consultant team and approved by AEROTHAI. Independent provided four consultants to the project. The consultants Kim Silander, Stig Lejon, Douglas Churchill and Kevin Cooper were contributing to all the fourteen work packages.

The initial work packages were primarily aimed to document the current situation from an operational and technical perspective. Together with the team of SWEDAVIA consultants, site survey reports and recommendations were made. The work packages related to the Operational Concept Document, System Design and Technical Specifications proved to be the most challenging but were all delivered on time meeting AEROTHAI's expectations. 

AEROTHAI will now initiate their procurement process and the consultant team led by SWEDAVIA will continue to provide support (primarily remotely) until the new ATC system is commissioned 2012/13. This includes providing advice during design review, SAT, FAT and commissioning. Independent would like to thank SWEDAVIA under the management of Lars Håkansson and AEROTHAI for providing a great team spirit and management of this complex project phase.
